I'm looking to buy a laptop for things like browsing the internet, admin stuff like sorting out important documents, a little bit of software development, and other things that aren't easy to do on a phone.

I don't think I need a particularly powerful laptop for these things, so was hoping to get a cheap refurbished one. Can anyone recommend a reputable place to buy a refurbished laptop for a reasonable price? I'm hoping to spend around £200, but not sure if that's reasonable for what I'm looking for

I learned a new word, and it turns out the word is a slur for a person who is working class. That seems very nasty, considering that statistically speaking, working class people are the majority of Britain. Most British people I know online are against racial slurs yet throw around the slur "chav" like it's nothing. Why?

EDIT - I FOUND THIS

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cheap-theatre-tickets/

A bit of a longshot here, but I'm looking to buy my nephew and his girlfriend tickets to 'Elf' in London for a Christmas/early Christmas present.

Tickets are a lot more expensive than I was expecting unless I get them tickets miles down the back. Are there any specific sites that those 'in the know' use to get better placed prices or codes for something like this?

Alas, I'm no longer entitled to a free covid-19 vaccine on the glorious NHS (cutbacks, innit, I'm sure) so I thought I'd see how much it cost on the private market... and my gabber has been well and truly flabbered.

Am looking for recommendations, really.

For Comedy, I love Mandy, Taskmaster and WILTY. Ghosts had its moments too. For Drama I've really enjoyed Slow Horses, but I'm ashamed to say almost everything I've watched so far this decade has been American, with a handful of Kiwi/Ozzie shows too.

Note: I'm not counting shows that just happen to have a couple of British actors in, like What We Do In The Shadows. Am hoping for full-on British productions.

And god save the king! /s

I've got a young housemate coming to me who is really vulnerable. She needs to do a CV and look for basic admin jobs but my advice is 20 years out of date.

Anyone got any ideas?
