Does anybody else… spend way too much time wondering if they're the only one who actually does this weird thing?

From rethinking conversations you had 10 years ago to putting on a whole concert in the shower, here’s the place to share your oddly specific, strangely relatable quirks.

Like, I can be eating the most delicious food, and not be nearly full, but then I suddenly remember that I'll drink water afterwards, and that enjoyment is gone.
I'll just be thinking about that water. Usually I try to force myself to finish, and just treat the water as a treat at the end.

And I know people tend to drink water while eating.
No fucking way. I get a sip, and then I can't stop. Either the cup empties, or I fill. In the former case, I'll still think of water, the cup must be refilled.

But hell, I even flush soda and juices down with water.

Probably the only food that doesn't have this effect is raw fruits and vegetables. That cucumber doesn't really ask for water.

I see ads on Facebook Marketplace and the like for used AirPods and it grosses me out. I can’t imagine putting that in my ear after it was in some stranger’s ear. I feel similarly with friends and family to a lesser degree.

I just had a guy offer to trade my MacBook for his used AirPods and I felt like barfing 🤢

Man, I miss that app. For me, it was like the best out of all of them. I checked, and of course it's off the play store.

So, I don't participate in any political stuff on here. The most I'll do, is just read it and that's it.

But i guess what I'm really asking, is what is the general feel of lemmy in your experience? For me, I mostly get negative and toxic and hostile vibes. Maybe it's the posts I read, not sure.

I don't feel this way when I open reddit though. I've aggressively blocked and muted the political stuff out, so 99 percent of my home feed is upbeat and fun for the most part.

I'm just wondering why this is? I aggressively block communities on here as well, but it's almost like playing wackamole, with new ones popping up in their place.

Does Reddit have better blocking features or something in comparison to Lemmy or something?
