Exactly. And this is where TWO out of three major parties almost openly working for china to ruin the Taiwanese system and bring Taiwan to chinese toes. DPP is actually the only one who is for defending Taiwanese democracy, even though it is not perfect.

Current ruler in Executive Yuan is a group KMT+TPP, not DPP that is actually non stop attacked by those two in attempts to ruin reputation, but DPP is the one who actually is reformative forward-moving power. KMT can't show the same attitude, so the only strongarm they have is actually mob-style strongarm.

In what way is the DPP "reformative"?
The DPP has engaged in systematic whitewashing of European and Japanese colonization. Their whole basis for Taiwan independence rests on the claims that a) China engaged in colonization, b) China and Taiwan have different roots, and c) actual colonization was benevolent compared to Chinese rule.
The actual indigenous people of Taiwan remember death and occupation under Imperial Japan. They remember that Qing rule left their way of life largely unchanged. They probably harbor gripes against KMT for its earlier assimilation policies, but a majority still back the KMT over the DPP. (ex. https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/news/5094197)
Indigenous people are living in tribes and communities with community leaders being their ruler and news-bringer. It is well knows in Taiwan that those community leaders are profiting from corruption from KMT members.
As I said, DPP is not perfect too, but at least stands for being an "its own nation", not ceding everything to china.

In many way DPP is far more corrupt than KMT can dream to be. The DPP routinely dismisses every budget-related issues or corruption accusation as an unfounded smear orchestrated by paid communist actors, and regularly use nazi like tactic to rally crowd to storm legislative building to suspend hearing against DPP corruptions.

This is a first good informative reply here. Thank you. I don't like either that DPP is corrupt too, and have its own issues need to deal with. From knowing some people from within, DPP is more tranparent and open to bring corruption topic out, but surely afraid to harm its own reputation. And I have to admit, I don't like that activist and I am not following him. But it is just one out of thousands more. It is not realistic to accuse others of the same. I personally faced Taiwanese openly wearing Nazi SS and russian military symbols taking their inspiration and claiming KMT did right all along in the past.
